Mercy College library has the motto of “Maximum utilization of current information sources and getting enriched with updated knowledge”. Mercy college library aims at utilizing existing information resources to the maximum and procuring new sources of information to utilize them in the proper manner.

Mercy College library is the pivotal point of the cultural and educational development of our College. As new vistas of knowledge in all fields of education are opening up, the College library takes the peak position in college curriculum.

The library at Mercy College was established in 1964 and a new block, ‘EKATHA’ was added in January 1992 as part of the Silver Jubilee memorial of the college. The library underwent a major refurbishment and transformation in 2005-06, with the work being completed in 2006. In addition to the resources that have been added in terms of books and journals, the library refurbishment has resulted in a completely automated, library system with OPAC facility to deal with the demands of the student and teaching body. Users have access to wired network connectivity inside the library.

Our College Library is Computerized with BOOK MAGIC which provides online Catalogue searching facility to the users.

Library Membership is open to all staff, students and Research Scholars of Mercy College Palakkad. Guest Faculties are required to fill the Library Membership form signed by Principal to borrow books from Library. The Library also welcomes Alumni, Students and Research Scholars of other institutions to use library resources with the prior permission from Principal
